30 Day Challenge! Day 13!

Hey guys!! Today's challenge is a guilty pleasure song. Today's challenge wasn't a hard one since there's really only one fantastically mainstream, my-taste-is-really-above-this type song that I love entirely unironically and that would be I Love It by Icona Pop. Honestly, its really not that great of a song, but I just love it's carefree attitude and it's cry of independence!

This is the best version I could find, but a lot of the song's cut off

Haha, I feel like a dork, but I always gotta dance when I hear it! Oh well! Comment below on what your guilty pleasure song is!

30 Day Challenge Days 11 and 12: Best Friends and Childhood Memories Edition!!

Hey guys! I know I didn't post yesterday, but there's a good reason! I spent the afternoon with two of my best friends, Becca and Danny! I had so much fun just sitting around with them! Then I spent the evening at church listening to Greg Speck who was AWESOME! He told this hilarious story but it sparked some really real conversation. So yeah, anyway, I had my reasons. Today I had an ortho appointment and on the way home, we had to stop and pick up something for dinner, so we stopped at this store that my mom used to go to all the time when I was younger. Whenever she went, she would buy my sister and I these juice boxes, but they weren't boxes, they were pyramids and they came in flavors like mango, papaya, strawberry, guava and apple. And so while we were at this store, I wondered if they still sold them, but Mum and I couldn't even remember the brand name. It turns out that they must not sell those juices any more, but they still sell the same brand but in a glass bottle. So Mum bought two, and they tasted like the syrup at the bottoms of fruit cups, but it was so good and it made me happy! But anyway, onto the challenges! Yesterday's was a song by my favorite band and today's is a song by a band I hate. My favorite band was easy, the hard part was picking which song to post, so I'll post a few!!

And a song by a band I don't like, I guess it'd be anything by Five Seconds of Summer. I've never heard their music, so I've got nothing against it, it's their logo that gets on my nerves. I'll tell you why.

Those hashmarks are their logo, and I saw a girl walk by wearing a shirt with the image on it. I very nearly asked her what her favorite Five Iron Frenzy album was. my fear of junior highers stopped me. Why would I ask her that? Because the Five Iron Frenzy logo looks like this:
Now, I KNOW FIF has been around way longer then 5 Seconds Of Summer. I also know the chance that they copied FIF is very slim, but it still gets on my nerves. Oh well, leave a comment below about band logos or something. See you tomorrow!

30 Day Challenge Day 10!

Hey guys! Guess what? My mom got me some funky slipper socks and now my feet look like Sully's pink and orange cousin! So, anyway, onto today's challenge. Today it's a song that puts me to sleep. Now, I don't know if it means a song that relaxes me, or a song that bores me. Most music doesn't really bore me, it's all either enchanting or aggravating; for the same reason not much relaxes me enough to fall asleep. BUT. There is a movie soundtrack that I will always associate with sleep. From, like, age 5 to age 12, I always fell asleep to the Toy Story soundtrack. I'm not sure why it was Toy Story that I picked. I'm honestly surprised that I can't recite Toy Story 1 and Toy Story 2 since I heard it read to me in my sleep every night. I know I heard it too, since I would wake up every time the cd ended then I'd restart it and fall back asleep. I still listen to the radio while I sleep, it's a news station now though. No matter why Toy Story imprinted on me, I still feel a little sentimental whenever I hear it.

Also, much love for those little aliens. Hahaha, leave a comment below about any weird sleeping habits you had as a kid. Or if you listened to music too, what did you listen to?

30 Day Song Challenge Day 9!

Day 9! Yeah! It's Friday! Who's excited? Today's challenge fits well, it's a song I can dance to! I'm not much of a dancer, I kind of reinforce the stereotype that white people can't dance! But, I do love a good dance tune, especially if it's a sing along kind of song too. So the song I picked today is Get Lucky by Daft Punk. I don't necessarily approve of the message but it's fun and light-hearted and definitely not the worst song out there!

Alright, there we go! I was wiggling in my seat, were you? Leave a comment about your favorite dance song below! I'll talk to you all tomorrow!

30 Day Challenge Day 8!

The challenge for today was a song I know all the words to. My sister pointed out that I know all the words to every song written in English, I just don't know which words, so I took the challenge to mean a song I have memorized. So I picked a song that I always have to sing, whenever it comes on!

Popular from Wicked

I think I first heard this song at a church talent show, and I guess I thought it was funny. It doesn't hurt that seemingly all teenage girls know it, so a sing-along is never too far away. Oh well! I was hoping I could write about Dragosta Din Tae but I still don't know all the words! Ok, well, talk to ya'll tomorrow!

30 Day Challenge Day 7!!

Yay! I've made it a week! Today's challenge is a song that reminds me of an event. I've been waiting for this one, because I knew which songs I'd pick right away!!

SO, the songs I picked are Undignified by David Crowder Band, Let It Be Known by Worship Central, Rise and Sing by Fee, and Sing, Sing, Sing by Chris Tomlin because they remind me of CDYC!!! CDYC is the best thing EVER!

We rushed the stage and jumped around during this one. We made total fools of ourselves and it was amazing.

We jumped around, danced, shouted and did motions to Let It Be Known!
Everyone was shouting to Rise And Sing. Everyone. A whole college auditorium of people! It was such a heavenly noise!
And lastly Sing, Sing, Sing. It's one of the first songs I learned at CDYC, and I'm glad to sing it with a renewed passion!
Alright, I hope you liked it, and maybe it woke some memories up for you! Talk to you tomorrow!

30 Day Challenge Day 6!

Alright, I've only got like 10 minutes. Today's challenge was a song that reminds me of a place so I picked Billboards by S-type because it reminds me of what New York look likes in my head!

Here ya go, see ya tomorrow!

30 Day Challenge: Day 5

Hello! Today's challenge is a song that reminds me of someone. So, after racking my brain, I picked a song that reminds me of my grandma who passed away 7 years ago. My grandma loved tigers and she really loved Tigger from Winnie The Pooh, so for today I choose The Wonderful Thing about Tiggers.

I know it's a short little tune, but when I hear it, it reminds me of all the fun I had with my grandma. She was a wonderful, creative woman who always stayed positive, even during her treatments for breast cancer. I love her very much, and even though I miss her, I'm glad she's in Heaven with the Lord. At least I know that I'll see her again. That's it for now, tomorrow's will be way happier, I promise!

30 Day Song Challenge Day 4: Speed Mode Version!!

Alright guys, I've only got a short while to write this, so please excuse any writing mistakes. Thanks! Today's challenge is a song that makes me sad. I like to listen to this song when I'm already feeling melancholy and I feel like I can connect to it despite the fact that I've probably never been through anything the singer has.

The song I picked is After Midnight by Blink-182. I don't always listen to Blink 'cause they tend to be a little...immature. But the songs I do like are really deep and personable.
Alright, that's today's! I hope you like it! Have fun today if you're watching the Super Bowl and remember to stay safe while you're partyin'! Talk to you all tomorrow!

30 Day Song Challenge: Day 3!

Oh my gosh!! I nearly forgot today! I had to do a lot of cleaning of my room, so my mind was on other things. Anyway, today's challenge is a song that makes me happy. There's actually several songs that make me happy, but they've all got some things in common.

The first song is Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy of Company B by The Andrews Sisters. I like this song 'cause it's kind of fun, and I like how you can trip over the lyrics a little bit.
Next is Operator by the Whiffenpoofs. I love acapella music, and this song has so much soul.
(this is the best one I could find)

And next is more acapella. The Evolution of Music by Pentatonix. I like this one for it's smooth flow into each era, and because they totes picked the best songs.

And last is.... MORE acapella! Ring of Fire by Home Free. I kind of just love Home Free in general. and tim's hair

Alright, so looking at this, I can tell that the music that makes me happiest features strong vocals and is musically solid. Cool beans, so I'll talk to ya'll tomorrow!
